KanteenPay
About this project
Handling cash in a busy school canteen is stressful — students lose coins, lines move slowly, and it's hard to keep track of where the money went.
KanteenPay removes the cash entirely. Each student has an ID card they simply tap to pay. Parents can view their child's transactions and see exactly what they're spending, while the canteen and school watch every sale as it happens.
It makes lunchtime faster and safer, and gives parents and administrators real peace of mind about the money.
Key features
Tap-to-pay with ID cards
Students pay by tapping their RFID ID card — quick, contactless, and no cash to lose or count.
Parent transaction view
Parents can view their child's transactions and spending history anytime.
Live transaction monitoring
The canteen and school see every sale the moment it happens, with running totals and reports.
Multi-canteen support
A central host dashboard manages multiple canteens, with each canteen getting its own view.
Under the hood
Security
Every RFID card's data is hashed using hash encryption before it's stored, so even if the database were ever exposed, the raw card details stay protected and can't be read directly.
Architecture
Built with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) on top of Clean Architecture — the business rules are kept separate from the framework and database, which makes the system easier to test, maintain, and grow over time.
