Terms and Conditions for KanteenPay

Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Last Updated: September 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the KanteenPay cashless payment system, website, mobile application, or RFID terminal services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By tapping an RFID card, creating an account, or accessing KanteenPay, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the system.

2. Service Description

KanteenPay is an automated school canteen transaction system that allows:

  • Registered students and staff to purchase canteen food and items using registered RFID cards.
  • Parents and guardians to monitor real-time transaction activity and account records.
  • School operators and canteen managers to process point-of-sale transactions and view analytical reports.

3. Account Responsibilities & Card Security

  • Card Safeguarding: Cardholders are responsible for the physical security of their RFID cards. Lost or stolen cards must be immediately reported to school administrators or canteen staff to prevent unauthorized use.
  • Account Credentials: Users are responsible for keeping any login credentials confidential.
  • Accurate Details: Users and institutions agree to provide accurate and up-to-date registration information.

4. Payments and Balances

  • Fund Top-ups: Account balances are topped up according to the school's designated payment procedures.
  • Non-Transferability: Account balances are intended solely for canteen purchases within participating campus locations.
  • Refund Policy: Account refund and balance withdrawal policies are determined in coordination with your school's administration.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to clone, forge, manipulate, or tamper with RFID cards or reader hardware.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the KanteenPay database, backend APIs, or server infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the canteen point-of-sale terminals.

6. Limitation of Liability

KanteenPay is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we maintain high uptime and robust security measures, we shall not be held liable for temporary network outages, third-party power failures, or delays caused by hardware malfunctions beyond our reasonable control.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of KanteenPay after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
